This morning, Polish protesters resumed blocking truck traffic at the Medyka-Shehyni and Korczowa-Krakowiec border crossings with Ukraine, RMF24 reports.

According to the publication, the details of the plans were reported by the protest coordinators and the Polish police.

The co-organiser of the protests, Roman Kondruv, said that farmers are still waiting for negotiations with the government, and the agreements reached in Yasenka are not being properly implemented.

"We are still waiting for negotiations with the government. The agreements with the government signed in Yasenka are not being implemented. We are waiting for the promised resolution on grain subsidies," says Roman Kondrov, leader of Podkarpacka Oszukana Wsi.

The blocking of traffic on the Polish side was resumed at 8:00 a.m. local time. One truck per hour is allowed to cross from Poland to Ukraine. At the same time, passenger vehicles and cars will be able to pass freely.

The blockades at the Dorohusk-Yagodyn and Hrebenne-Rava-Ruska checkpoints also continue.

The situation on the Lublin section of the border remains unchanged: the Dorohusk and Hrebenne checkpoints, as well as Zosin, are blocked. Farmers in Dolgobychuv decided that they could not wait any longer with field work. However, they do not rule out resuming the protest later. The police have no information on when the blockade will take place.

The protests in Medyka and Korczowa resumed at 8am.

In violation of EU law, Polish carriers began blockading the border with Ukraine in 2023. They were later joined by farmers and other trade unions.

On 9 February, a farmers' strike started in Poland, announced by the Solidarity trade union. The protesters blocked all border crossing points, as well as roads and motorways in certain voivodeships.

The Polish protesters are against the European agricultural policy, in particular, against the introduction of the "green system" - a number of environmental and climate requirements. Other demands include support for livestock farming and a ban on imports of agricultural products from Ukraine.
