Ruslan Baginskiy Presents Fashion Installation at Galeries Lafayette in Paris

Ukrainian designer Ruslan Baginskiy has taken center stage in the French capital, transforming the iconic Galeries Lafayette Haussmann into a vivid celebration of Ukrainian identity, creativity, and resilience.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to a post by Iryna Danylevska, co-founder of Ukrainian Fashion Week.
Marking the 10th anniversary of his eponymous brand, Baginskiy has curated a bold visual installation that spans twelve of the department store’s landmark display windows and features a monumental 140-square-meter banner in blue and yellow – the colors of the Ukrainian flag unfurled across the historic building’s facade.
This unprecedented collaboration is part of the official program of Paris Couture Week, placing Ukrainian fashion firmly within the spotlight of one of the industry’s most prestigious events.
“For me and the team, this is more than a project – it is an important moment dedicated to Ukrainian culture: its strength, sophistication, creativity and ability to inspire the whole world. Every day, the shop windows will be seen by thousands of people who came to Paris this summer. We believe in the language of culture, and every shop window in the city center is our voice.” Baginskiy stated.
Galeries Lafayette, located in the heart of Paris and classified as an architectural monument, draws more than 27 million visitors annually.
The project also includes a pop-up space and a dedicated shop-in-shop for the Ruslan Baginskiy brand, which has become globally recognized for reimagining traditional Ukrainian craftsmanship through a contemporary lens.
The designer’s signature headpieces have been worn by international icons including Rihanna, Beyoncé, Madonna, and Taylor Swift.
The installation will remain on display from July 8 to August 25, inviting both Parisians and visitors from around the world to engage with Ukrainian culture in a striking and memorable way.
As The Gaze reported earlier, the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival will spotlight four Ukrainian films this year, offering global audiences an unflinching look at the human, environmental, and emotional toll of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
