Ukraine Snags Three Medals at European Draughts Championships
At the European Draughts Championships (100 checkers, rapid and lightning game) in Brussels, Belgium, the Ukrainian national team won a silver and two bronze medals.

In the women's fast game competition, we have a double Ukrainian podium. Anastasia Glushko from Kharkiv won the silver medal, and Victoria Motrichko from Odesa won two bronze medals.
Natalia Sadowska from Poland won the rapids. Zoja Golubeva from Latvia won the gold medal in the blitz, and Marta Bankowska from Poland took silver.
The competition was held without the participation of athletes representing Russia and Belarus due to disqualification after the military invasion of Ukraine.
As The Gaze reported earlier, in 2024, young Ukrainians won 4 gold and 3 silver medals at the World Draughts 100 Championships in Poland.
