Ukrainian Paralympians Secure 13 Medals at Skiing Competitions in Italy

The Ukrainian para team won 3 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze medals at the Biathlon and Cross-Country Skiing World Cups in Val di Fiemme, Italy, the Ukrainian Paralympic Committee reports on social media.
These were the first test competitions before the 2026 Winter Paralympic Games, which will be held in March next year on these ski and biathlon tracks in Italy.
The Ukrainian national team won 10 medals (3 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze) at the Para Biathlon World Cup, which took place in Val di Fiemme on 29-30 January. The Cup was held under the auspices of the International Biathlon Federation IBU and was attended by athletes from 18 countries.
The Ukrainian team was represented by 26 athletes, 7 of whom won top awards at the competition.
Following the Para Biathlon World Cup, the Nordic Combined World Cup, held under the auspices of the FIS Nordic Combined World Cup and attended by athletes from 23 countries, took place on the same competitive ski slopes in Val di Fiemme from 2 to 3 February.
The Ukrainian team was represented by 24 athletes who won 3 awards (2 silver and 1 bronze).
The Ukrainian national team has already arrived in Pokljuka, Slovenia, to take part in the Para Biathlon World Championships (3-10 February) and will then move to Toblach, Italy, to take part in the Para Nordic Combined World Championships (11-15 February).
