10 years ago, Ukrainian Crimea became the starting point of Putin’s aggression. On February 20, 2014, occupation forces invaded the territory of the peninsula, while the Maidan was still burning in Kyiv and the whole of Ukraine was mourning those killed by the Yanukovych regime. Armed people with no signs began to appear on the peninsula and Moscow began to implement its criminal war plan. The occupiers seized administrative buildings, turned on Russian channels instead of Ukrainian ones, and organized a so-called 'referendum' for 'annexing' to the Russian Federation, where less than 30% of the total population of Crimea voted.
