Illegally Took Crimea and Now Afraid of People's Mutiny: Kremlin Represses Crimea

#thegaze #news #crimea #russia Since Russia occupied Ukrainian Crimea, it has been afraid of any manifestation of opposition by Crimean population. The Kremlin prosecutes Crimean as it does with its own population. For example, the brothers Asan and Aziz Akhtemovs were sentenced to 15 and 13 years in a strict regime colony for allegedly blowing up the gas pipeline. And Nariman Dzhelal was sentenced to 17 years in a strict regime colony for introducing the brothers with one of the organisers of the sabotage. Any combination of yellow and blue colours is prohibited. Persecutions and tortures are there for damaging the railway tracks. However, opposition organisataions in Crimea are operating and Ukrainian authorities do everything to save the peninsula.
