We give the names of outstanding individuals to cities and avenues, laws and formulas, theorems, and even stars. At first glance, it may seem that the list of Ukrainian geniuses is shorter than  in other countries. But it's only the initial impression.

Since Ukraine did not have its statehood for a long time, most Ukrainian talents made history under the flags of other countries. If we're familiar with any of them, they're typically foreigners.  And many of us don't even suspect that they are our fellow countrymen, people born and raised in Ukraine. For many centuries, talented Ukrainians  not only created their history but also influenced global events.

The unjustly forgotten geniuses of our country are the heroes of today's program.
