"The Light Of Mariupol": Arkhyp Kuindzhi, Artist Who Painted Ukraine

In doing so, it is actively engaged in obliterating both the tangible and intangible remnants of Ukrainian heritage, undermining the memory of Ukrainian identity and appropriating its historical and cultural legacy. Among the initial casualties in this comprehensive Russian invasion was the Kuindzhi Art Museum, which housed invaluable creations by Arkhyp Kuindzhi, a renowned landscape painter of the 19th century who hailed from the vicinity of Mariupol, Ukraine. Unfortunately, the museum, much like the surrounding city, has been completely demolished by the invading Russian military forces.
