UN Court Holding Hearings On Russia's Violation of Convention About Genocide | The Gaze
The International Court of Justice in The Hague has been holding hearings on Ukraine's claim against Russia since September 18. Ukraine categorically disagrees with Moscow’s false interpretation of the Convention on the Prevention of Genocide. Russia explains the full-scale invasion of Ukraine as supposedly protecting residents of the temporarily federated territories of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions from genocide. Kyiv filed a lawsuit with the International Court of Justice on February 26, 2022. Later, 33 more countries joined the process. This is a record number of participants in the process. The Ukrainian delegation in The Hague was headed by Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Anton Korynevych. Read more in our material.
