UN Court Holding Hearings On Russia's Violation of Convention About Genocide | The Gaze

Ukraine categorically disagrees with Moscow’s false interpretation of the Convention on the Prevention of Genocide. Russia explains the full-scale invasion of Ukraine as supposedly protecting residents of the temporarily federated territories of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions from genocide. Kyiv filed a lawsuit with the International Court of Justice on February 26, 2022. Later, 33 more countries joined the process. This is a record number of participants in the process. The Ukrainian delegation in The Hague was headed by Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Anton Korynevych. Read more in our material.
