10 Eastern European Gaming Channels
PhDs in esports, high-heeled minecrafters, funny cosplayers, nostalgic veterans, and young dreamers - everyone is guaranteed to find their favorite blogger among the vast world of Eastern European gaming channels.
Ever since Putin invaded Ukraine with plans to take over the entirety of Eastern Europe, many have been wondering what kind of people live there. Rashist propaganda tries to convince the world that Ukrainians, Poles, Czechs, and other Eastern Slavs are their younger brothers who have simply fought back and need a fatherly spanking. But so far, more than 600,000 Russians have received a fatal whipping from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who are proving their worth in heavy fighting every day: Ukraine and Eastern Europe are part of Europe, not the disgusting barbaric Muscovy. If you want to learn more about the people there, one good way is to watch them... play computer games.

Nowadays, almost every school gamer starts a YouTube channel with livestreams, but 99.99% of them are soon abandoned due to unpopularity, because let's be honest: who is interested in listening to what some schoolchildren are saying behind the scenes? It's a different matter to watch and listen to people who are really experienced, eloquent and charismatic. Like, for example, this Polish woman who started her famous million-selling channel back in 2006 with one of her signature series “Minecraft in Heels” (some videos have already garnered 2-3-4-5 million views!) In addition to Minecraft, which is already in its 5th season, this blogger also specializes in The Sims 4 and The Witcher 3.
PETR1K
Do you know many esports analysts with a PhD? Well, there is at least one of them - Oleksandr Petryk has recently completed his large-scale research that lasted several years and successfully defended his dissertation in Journalism on the topic “Ukrainian Audience of Esports Media.” Petryk promotes esports as a real sport without any “buts,” compiles rankings of the best players, shares industry news, and has been fighting since the beginning of the full-scale invasion to ensure that Ukrainian clubs are not considered Ukrainian if they have at least one Russian player.
Yozhyk
Yevhen Mostovyk is a multiple Ukrainian champion and former legend from the NAVI team, and now a popular content creator for EA Sports FC 24. Since the beginning of the war, the esportsman has switched from Russian to Ukrainian and started hosting charity streams in support of the Armed Forces. But the man hasn't given up his old activities either. Yevhen still competes from time to time, and he regularly makes expert guides for his channel, shares highlights from professional matches, and pampers his audience with all kinds of cool packs. And if you too can't wait until September 27, when the coveted FC 25 is finally released, Yozhyk's channel has a bunch of videos that fuel the new game's interest.
arhn.eu
New products are new products, but the faster humanity moves forward (almost a quarter of the 21st century is behind us!), the more nostalgia for old games, perhaps not as perfect as modern ones, but so cozy and dear (of course, if you are not from the buzzer generation). In addition to reviews of the latest releases in the gaming industry, the Polish channel arhn.eu offers many videos about old cult hits, such as: Dungeon Keeper, Tzar, Knights and Merchants, etc. There are also historical and nostalgic essays about legendary hardware consoles, such as Pegasus, which was the dream of every Polish teenager some 25 years ago, and now it is hopelessly forgotten and unwanted.
Beast [World of tanks blitz]
Tanks, the pride of all the powerful armies of the last century, have not shown themselves to be the best during the recent Russian-Ukrainian war. Because they usually cost millions of dollars, consume a lot of fuel, require an experienced crew and a large support service, and are very, very effectively destroyed by drones for a few thousand. Nevertheless, there is something so attractive about tanks that makes a lot of people around the world play with them, if not in a sandbox, then online. Ukrainian Beast knows everything about top tanks, game mechanics, types of shells and armor, and he willingly shares valuable information on his channel.
Cantzer
23-year-old Václav Jan "Cantzer" Stezka is a member of the Czech-Slovak esports team Enterprise Esports and has been playing Valorant professionally for 4 years. After Valorant finally became available on PlayStation and Xbox consoles in August (and with a mobile version expected soon), the number of fans of this exceptional 5v5 tactical shooter surged. So many are now looking for a good teacher and guide who knows Valorant inside out. Look no further – here he is.
OLDboi
Imagine you are a 12-year-old schoolboy, your country has been attacked by a massive nuclear state, and you are left without your parents in your hometown, now occupied by invaders. HOLLOW HOME is a game about Ukrainian Mariupol during the first months of the war, set to be released in 2025. Critics have already called it heavy but necessary. Yes, of course: it would be better if such a game never existed at all, but since Mariupol was seized by the Russians, there must be a game about it. Because the Russians are trying to hide the truth about what they did in the city, creating false stories about a glorious liberating army – games like HOLLOW HOME help combat Kremlin propaganda, giving gamers the chance to understand, even virtually, what the bloody “Russian world” truly is. Ukrainian reviewer OLDboi played the demo of HOLLOW HOME with tears in his eyes and shared his impressions:
tvgry
This is one of the leading gaming channels in Poland. Here you will find professional journalistic breakdowns of popular games, historical excursions, entertaining videos about developers’ blunders and absurd mistakes, interesting Easter eggs, exciting Let's Plays, reviews of new releases in the gaming industry, nostalgic journeys through the hits of 90s internet cafés, analyses of modern achievements in graphics and technology, various rankings, announcements, rumours, and more.
quaz9
The main problem with most hardcore gamers is that they take their hobby far too seriously. Listening to them is like listening to the "philosophical" musings of a footballer who earns tens of millions of dollars and thinks the world revolves around him, while in reality, all he does is run after a ball on green grass like a child. The reviews of gaming hits by the Polish YouTuber quaz9 are free from such serious pretentiousness and full of humour. He particularly enjoys cosplay, portraying popular game characters in a comical way.
Sanya – Minecraft
If you believe in the law of attraction, any dream must first be well visualised – as if it has already come true. After Russia’s full-scale invasion, Ukrainian Sanya built his own Crimea in Minecraft, defended it from the Russians, and blew up the Kerch Bridge to smithereens. However, the law of attraction has a second component. Aside from visualising your dream, you must work hard to make it a reality, which this ordinary guy, playing Minecraft, cannot do on his own. But this is something the Ukrainian Armed Forces, GUR (military intelligence), and the SBU (security service) can definitely do. They’ve already attacked Putin’s main bridge a few times, and now it must be destroyed for good. To achieve this, Western partners must give Ukraine permission to strike Russian territory with their missiles. Because the destruction of the Kerch Bridge is not just one Minecraft player’s dream – it is the dream of over 40 million of his fellow countrymen, who firmly believe there should be no architectural links between Mordor and Civilization.
