American Actor Sean Penn Visits Ukraine's Special Operations Forces

Oscar-winning actor and longtime supporter of Ukraine, Sean Penn, has made his fourth visit to the country since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, The Gaze reports.
During his trip, Penn visited the 3rd Regiment of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, continuing his mission to show solidarity with Ukrainian defenders.
Penn, known not only for his acclaimed film career but also for his humanitarian efforts, praised Ukrainian soldiers for their strength and global impact. Speaking during his visit, he said:
“Despite a lot of what the politicians are doing, I believe in all of you, and I am grateful to all of you for being the very best of what we aspire to be.”
He further emphasized: “You’re not only defending your country, you’re truly defending the world, and that will be known and seen. And I know you’ll prevail.”
Since the onset of the full-scale war, Sean Penn has visited Ukraine annually, becoming a visible international advocate for the country’s sovereignty and resistance against Russian aggression.
In recognition of his personal contributions to Ukraine’s international support and global image, he was awarded the Order of Merit, III class by the Ukrainian government.
