Prince Harry Visits Wounded Soldiers in Ukraine

Prince Harry visited the victims of Russia's war as part of his work with wounded veterans. On Thursday, he paid a visit to the city of Lviv in western Ukraine.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to Sky News.
The visit was only announced after he left Ukraine.
Harry, who served for 10 years in the British army, visited the Superhumans Centre, an orthopaedic clinic in Lviv that treats and rehabilitates wounded soldiers and civilians.
The 40-year-old prince was accompanied by a contingent from his Invictus Games Foundation, including four veterans who had undergone similar rehabilitation.
A spokesman for the Duke of Sussex said that Harry was invited by the centre's CEO Olha Rudneva a year ago, as well as during the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025, which took place in February.
Harry visited the centre, which offers prosthetics, reconstructive surgery and psychological support free of charge, to see first-hand the support they provide during active combat operations.
The Duke, who served two tours of duty in Afghanistan, met with patients and medical staff during his visit to the centre.

During his visit to Ukraine, he also met with members of the Ukrainian Invictus community, as well as the Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, Natalia Kalmykova.
Helping wounded soldiers has been one of Harry's best-known causes since he founded the Invictus Games in 2014 to offer wounded veterans the chance to compete in sporting events similar to the Paralympics.
Harry is the second member of the Royal Family to visit Ukraine since Russia's full-scale invasion began.
His aunt, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, visited Kyiv last year.
As The Gaze reported earlier, in February, Prince Harry visited the Ukrainian team that won 16 medals at the Invictus Games 2025 in Canada.
