The wide theatrical release of the dubbed version of the Ukrainian animated film "Mavka. The Forest Song" has just launched in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. The State Film Agency of Ukraine shared this news on its official website. "For detailed information on the screening schedule, please check the website of your cinema," reads the announcement.

Furthermore, the official trailer for "Mavka" is now available in German.

Over this past weekend, the animated film "Mavka. The Forest Song" was also shown as part of the traditional and significant OPEN AIR SCREENINGS section on the first day of the MIFA International Animated Content Market at the Annecy Festival in France.

At the initiative of the festival organisers, the screening took place on a large open-air screen in the Pâquier park near the lake. Typically, this venue features the most successful films from famous studios such as Disney, Pixar, and Illumination. This Ukrainian animation is the first representation from Ukraine at this traditional festival event in its history.

The International Animated Content Market (MIFA) is the largest animation market in the world and is organised in conjunction with the Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Market participants have the opportunity to meet with 3000 animation industry professionals, showcase their content to more than 400 buyers and distributors, and present their achievements to more than 600 exhibitors from over 70 countries.

To represent the Ukrainian animation industry within MIFA, the organisers set up a Ukrainian animation stand, an electronic catalogue of animation projects over the last five years, and thematic clips.

It's worth recalling that earlier, on March 29th, the Ukrainian animated film "Mavka. The Forest Song" was released in France and topped all the premiere releases in the country. In early May, the film was released in Romania. In Canada, the screenings of the animated film began on May 20th, and in Poland, they started on June 1st.

In the Italian box office, the gross income from "Mavka" has already exceeded €1,000,000. The animated film was created with the support of the State Agency of Ukraine for Cinema and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID Ukraine - USAID Україна).

As a result of the thirteenth week of screening since the beginning of March, the box office revenue from the animated film "Mavka. The Forest Song" amounted to over €3.7 million.
