Lublin Triangle, Romania and Moldova to Hold Joint Talks in Ukraine’s Chernivtsi

Foreign ministers from Ukraine, Romania, Moldova, Poland, and Lithuania will convene in the western Ukrainian city of Chernivtsi on Friday for a high-level round of political consultations.
The Gaze reports this, referring to Ukrinform.
The meeting brings together two key regional formats: the Ukraine-Romania-Moldova trilateral and the Lublin Triangle – a strategic partnership between Ukraine, Poland, and Lithuania.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha confirmed the summit during a joint appearance in Kyiv with Romanian Foreign Minister Luminița Odobescu.
“Together, we are traveling to Chernivtsi, where we will hold consultations with our Moldovan counterpart,” Sybiha said. “Our Polish and Lithuanian colleagues will also join us. This demonstrates that security in the Baltic and Black Sea regions is interconnected and indivisible.”
The Chernivtsi gathering is expected to focus on strengthening the region’s energy infrastructure ahead of the winter season and enhancing coordinated efforts to combat Russian disinformation campaigns in light of Moscow’s ongoing hybrid threats.
Earlier this month, Sybiha emphasized the importance of multilateral formats like the Lublin Triangle and Weimar+ in bolstering European security.
“Ukraine is a key contributor to that security and seeks an active role in shaping strategic decisions for Europe,” he stated during a meeting with Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski in Chobielin, Poland.
As The Gaze reported earlier, on July 16, in Lublin the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine, Lithuania, and Poland convened to mark the 5th anniversary of the Lublin Triangle.
