On March 26th, Warsaw and Berlin will kick off the "armoured coalition" for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence of Poland, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, during a meeting with his German counterpart Boris Pistorius. The relevant announcement is posted on the official website of the Polish government.

"On March 26th, as co-leaders - Poland and Germany, we will activate the armoured coalition to support Ukraine. This is one of the most important coalitions that have been created," said the Polish official.

Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized that Warsaw and Berlin are acting as leaders of this project, which has also been joined by Great Britain, Sweden, and Italy. In turn, German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius stressed the longevity of this coalition, stating that the main goal is to increase the production of defence products within Polish-German cooperation.

"I am counting on a long-term friendly cooperation. We consider Poland as an extremely important partner and friend. Poland is a central partner in security and defence policy in Central and Eastern Europe. This relates to supporting Ukraine or the armoured coalition. We have many bilateral projects. We are working on them and will continue to work on them," said Boris Pistorius.

It was also announced the formation of Rapid Response Forces in Europe. Polish and German ministers reported that by July of this year, combat groups from both countries consisting of 2,500 servicemen will be ready for operational actions. Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz noted that other countries have not yet joined these forces due to the lack of the corresponding potential possessed by Poland and Germany.

"From July onwards, we will act together on this matter, and over the year, Poland and Germany will cooperate and create Rapid Response Forces," said the Polish minister.

Recall that The Gaze reported that Greece has confirmed its participation in the Lithuanian coalition for demining and will supply ammunition to Ukraine. Greek officials state that Ukraine needs ammunition the most, and their offer will help meet Ukrainian needs.

Athens informed European Union officials responsible for coordinating aid to Kyiv that they can supply ammunition to Ukraine through the Czech Republic this year.
