Saab and Ukrainian Defence Company Plan Strategic Collaboration

The Swedish and Ukrainian defence companies Saab and Radionix have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the intention to form strategic cooperation in the field of sensors and defence electronics to strengthen Ukraine's defence capabilities.
According to the Saab website, the cooperation will involve the development and maintenance of sensors and defence electronics, using the strengths of both companies.
Radionix will provide valuable know-how in the field of radar and optical sighting equipment, while Saab will contribute its experience in the defence industry and knowledge in these technological areas.
As The Gaze reported, in 2024, the US company Northrop Grumman announced plans to set up medium-calibre ammunition production in Ukraine as part of a new US State Department programme aimed at developing defence enterprises in Ukraine. This programme envisages investments in Ukraine's defence industry in the amount of 2 billion dollars, which will help establish joint US-Ukrainian military production.
