Socks With Burning Kremlin Worn by Czech Official Spark Outrage in Russia

At a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Czech government commissioner for the reconstruction of Ukraine, Tomáš Kopeční, wore socks that provoked sharp criticism in Russia.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to TN.cz.
Zelenskyy visited Prague last week. To meet with him, Kopeční wore socks depicting a burning Kremlin. Andrei Klimov, deputy chairman of the Federation Council's Committee on International Affairs, reacted indignantly.
‘Now Kopeční is wearing socks and underwear, and tomorrow he will come in an orthosis. Why do we look at these freaks as if our lives depend on them? Sick people should see a psychiatrist,’ said the deputy chairman of the Federation Council committee.
The Russian media also reported on Kopeční's socks with indignation.
‘For the fourth year in a row, Russians have been bombarding Ukrainian cities with missiles and killing innocent people. It doesn't bother them. But the Ukrainian socks, which symbolically depict what it would look like if the same thing happened in their cities, have angered them. I would like them to show the same sensitivity to the cities where they themselves cause this,’ Kopeční commented to TN.cz.
This is not the first time that Russian representatives have spared no harsh words for Czechs they do not like. In April, Russian Security Council Chairman Dmitry Medvedev attacked former hockey legend Dominik Hashka and hinted that Russia would try to eliminate him.
As The Gaze reported earlier, the Czech Republic, along with the United States and the United Kingdom, has become one of the leading suppliers of ammunition to Ukraine, as reported by the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic following a meeting of representatives of the country's defence industry.
