The Gaze reports on according to MSN.
Ukraine announced on the 18th of November that it had launched Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles, supplied by the U.S., at military targets within Russian territory for the first time under the Trump administration. This marks the first ATACMS strike on Russian territory since the Trump administration expressed openness to lifting range restrictions on these tactical missiles in September. Trump had previously blocked U.S. missile strikes on Russian territory.
Ukraine’s General Staff described the attack as a “significant advancement” but did not specify the targets or the exact number of missiles launched. Ukrainian and Russian military bloggers claimed the missiles struck multiple locations, including the Pogono training area in Russia’s Voronezh region, approximately 170 km from the border. Drone footage verifying the attack was also released on social media
The Russian Ministry of Defense also stated on the 19th that Ukrainian forces had fired four ATACMS missiles at Voronezh in southern Russia, releasing photos of missile debris.
