UNESCO Provides 20 Scholarships for Craftsmen and Restorers in Ukraine

UNESCO has announced funding for 20 scholarships for masters and restorers who will be enrolled in a certified programme at the Restoration School of the Lviv National Academy of Arts.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine.
The programme is open to craftsmen, artists, artisans and restorers who specialise in the restoration of decorative stucco, wood and metal products and wish to upgrade their qualifications to international standards.
To participate in the entrance exam, you must have proven experience working with the relevant materials — decorative stucco, wood or metal. Submission of a portfolio is a prerequisite for admission to the exam.
Graduates of educational institutions without practical experience are not eligible to participate. External independent assessment (NMT or EVI) is not required.
Registration for the entrance exam is open until 11 August 2025. The practical task will take place on 14 August, and the interview on 15 August.
After successfully passing the tests and being admitted to the programme, participants will be able to apply for a UNESCO scholarship, which will cover the cost of tuition for the first year.
