On 20th May, the twenty-second meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, known as the "Ramstein format," will take place. The meeting is traditionally attended by defence ministers and heads of defence departments from nearly 50 countries. Ukraine expects this session to approve new defence packages to counter Russian military aggression, including the supply of scarce artillery. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in his address.

"There will be new defence packages, including scarce artillery. New countries are joining the Czech initiative for ammunition procurement – thanks to all involved. The priorities remain unchanged for air defence, electronic warfare, and drones. I am grateful to all countries working to support these priorities meaningfully. Ukrainian drones are already showing strong results, and we must significantly strengthen the international component of our cooperation," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The President of Ukraine revealed that Germany has announced another defence package for Ukraine worth half a billion euros.

"This will include artillery and armoured vehicles. We greatly appreciate Germany's contribution to protecting Ukrainian lives and our independence," the Ukrainian leader stated.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also highlighted the importance of holding Russian war criminals accountable. According to the President of Ukraine, new legal steps are currently being prepared for this purpose.

"The Russian state, its leadership, and every war criminal must be held accountable for their actions, particularly in the legal domain. The world needs to see how international justice responds to aggression and terror," noted Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Among examples of Russian war crimes, the President of Ukraine cited continuous terrorist attacks on settlements in the border zone of Sumy Oblast in northern Ukraine.

"Our border villages are being targeted for total destruction by the Russian army. Since the beginning of March until today, Russian aviation has dropped nearly 200 guided bombs on communities in Sumy Oblast. These attacks target villages, towns, and civilian infrastructure," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Russia continues its terrorist strikes on Kharkiv Oblast as well. On 19th May, as reported by The Gaze, six people, including a pregnant woman, were killed, and 28 were injured in the Kharkiv region due to an attack by the Russian Iskander-M missile system.
