Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Sends Musical Message to Trump

Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Azman has released an emotional video message in the form of a song, directly addressing U.S. President Donald Trump and urging him to support Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression, The Gaze reports.
The video, featuring powerful footage of missile strike sites and Ukrainians mourning the loss of their home, presents a raw and deeply personal portrait of the ongoing suffering caused by the Russian war.
In the song, Rabbi Azman calls on Trump to take a stand for justice and peace:
“Donald Trump, it’s time to fight in the name of light.”
Through stark, evocative lyrics, he paints a clear image of the brutality of Russia’s actions:
“They always lie, they always hide the blade (Russians).”
The song also critiques the nature of Putin’s regime:
“The throne of Tsar (Putin) is built on fear and hate.”
Rabbi Azman emphasizes that Russia has no interest in peace:
“They (Russians) don’t want peace, they want just blood and fire.”
The most hopeful line highlights Trump’s potential role in shaping the future:
“You hold the key, the page is yours to write, and God bless you for bringing peace and light.”
By invoking Trump’s name and telling him “you hold the key,” Azman portrays the U.S. president as someone with the power to change the course of the war — either through political leadership, advocacy, or influence over American policy.
As The Gaze previously reported, Chief Rabbi of Ukraine invited Pastor Mark Burns, the personal spiritual advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump, who visited the Ukrainian towns of Irpin, Bucha, and Borodianka in the Kyiv region—areas that suffered severe devastation during the Russian occupation in the spring of 2022.
