Czechia Ready to Deploy Troops to Ukraine if Peace Deal Reached, Says President

Czech President Petr Pavel said that his country is ready to join an international mission that will send troops to Ukraine if a peace agreement is concluded. He said this in an interview with European Pravda.
Pavel mentioned the countries of the so-called ‘coalition of the willing’ when talking about elements of security guarantees for Ukraine.
When asked whether he sees the Czech Republic as part of this coalition, the president replied: ‘We are already part of this coalition’.
‘And I believe that as soon as there is an understanding that there is a common will to deploy forces, the Czech Republic will be part of this coalition,’ he stressed.
Commenting on the scepticism about the possible deployment of troops to Ukraine, Pavel noted that ‘different politicians may have different views’.
‘But if there is a strong group of European countries that are ready to provide Ukraine with such security guarantees, I am deeply convinced that the Czech Republic should be one of them. I understand that it sounds like a cliché, but I sincerely believe that we are doing this largely for ourselves,’ he stressed.
As The Gaze reported, during Czech President Petr Pavel's visit to Odesa on 21 March, Russian troops massively attacked the Ukrainian city with drones.
