The new head of the UK Foreign Office, David Cameron, made his first working visit to the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv.

This was reported by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in his statement.

"Hosted David Cameron on his first visit to Ukraine as Foreign Secretary of the UK," said Zelensky.

According to the report, the parties discussed new weapon supplies for the front and strengthening Ukraine's air defense to protect civilians and critical infrastructure from Russian attacks.

The meeting touched upon issues of the security situation in the Black Sea, the further implementation of the alternative "grain corridor," and the advancement of the Ukrainian peace formula as well as "work on security guarantees in the development adopted by the G7 at the Vilnius NATO Summit".

President Zelensky emphasized that the world is currently "paying attention not only to the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine" and thanked Great Britain for its "unwavering support."

The new head of the UK Foreign Office held a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba.

"Our talks at MFA Ukraine proved that Ukraine and the UK are determined to work together toward victory" emphasized the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

In turn, Cameron assured that the United Kingdom would continue to pay attention to Ukraine.

Recall that on November 13, the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Rishi Sunak, appointed David Cameron as the UK Foreign Secretary.

Cameron held the position of Prime Minister of Great Britain from 2010 to 2016.

The European diplomatic community welcomed the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom with his new appointment as the head of the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, also joined in the greetings, expressing anticipation for the 'opportunity to work side by side' with David Cameron to deepen the Ukrainian-British partnership, bring Ukraine closer to victory, and restore peace and security on the European continent.

Earlier, the position of the Prime Minister of Great Britain was held by Boris Johnson, who was noted for his strong support for Ukraine in the war with the Russian Federation.

However, after the end of his term, Johnson promised to focus on promoting support for Ukraine by the United States and the West.
