Denmark Allocates €130 Million for Investment Programme in Ukraine’s Defence Industry

Denmark will provide €130 million in guarantees for its companies that are ready to invest in Ukraine's defence industry, First Vice Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has posted on Facebook.
According to her, the Danish government, through the Danish Export Investment Fund (EIFO), plans to guarantee up to 70% of investments in the Ukrainian defence industry to domestic companies. The total amount of the programme is DKK 1 billion (EUR 130 million).
‘EIFO is well known to Danish business, as it is already actively supporting both their own and Ukrainian businesses,’ Svyrydenko said.
She added that companies are offered the following:
Export credit guarantees - reducing the risks of exporting to Ukraine by covering possible payment defaults;
Direct lending - providing loans to Ukrainian buyers of Danish goods and services;
Investment capital - to facilitate the expansion of Danish companies in Ukraine.
