In Warsaw, at the EXPO XXI exhibition center, a two-day exhibition and conference called "ReBuild Ukraine powered by Energy" has commenced, with over 500 delegates from more than 30 countries participating. The head of the Ukrainian delegation at the event is the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Herman Halushchenko, as reported by the Ukrainian edition of Radio Liberty.
The main objective of the event is to attract international funding for the recovery of Ukrainian communities, support energy sector enterprises in the implementation of the restoration of critical infrastructure damaged due to military aggression, and attract investments in cities and regions of Ukraine that currently support millions of displaced families and have attractive investment opportunities.
During the conference, representatives of the energy sector from European countries, along with investors, donors, and companies, are discussing ways to assist in the restoration of Ukraine's energy sector both during and after the conflict.
"Ukraine will become an energy hub for Europe. The full-scale war with the Russian aggressor not only did not stop our European integration but is pushing it forward. Guided by the goals of the 'green' transition, we will rebuild and modernize the Ukrainian energy sector, integrating it into European markets. Thanks to our international partners who support Ukraine, your investments in the recovery and reconstruction of Ukrainian energy are a contribution to the green energy future of Europe," emphasized Herman Halushchenko.
The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine also reported that Herman Halushchenko met with the first deputy assistant to the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State for Energy Diplomacy, Laura Lochman.
"Our cooperation with American partners has achieved significant success in the energy sector, particularly in the nuclear field. We aim to deepen cooperation with a focus on attracting American investments in the development of modern technologies and their implementation in Ukraine. We have great prospects for further collaboration in the hydrogen sector, the production of small modular reactors, the development of wind and solar generation, as well as the gas industry," emphasized the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy.
The event also features an exhibition of construction technologies, equipment, and materials, modern electrical equipment, and "green" technologies, showcasing global achievements in the construction and energy sectors presented by leading manufacturers from 21 countries worldwide.
