The national teams of Slovakia and Romania drew in the 3rd round of the Euro 2024 group stage match in Group E and reached the 1/8 finals. Ukraine's national team ended its performance at Euro 2024 in Germany with a 0-0 draw against Belgium in Stuttgart and remained out of the play-offs.
All four teams in the quartet approached the last round with the same score of three points. According to additional indicators, Romania led the group; Ukraine, on the other hand, was in last place, fourth.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, supported the national team and posted a message on his social media account, reacting after the Euro 2024 game:
"A strong nation is one that remains united and always supports each other. In times of defeat and in times of victory. Today we thank the Ukrainian national football team. Despite the disappointing result, you fought for our country. Our great victories are ahead! The victories of Ukraine. In the meantime, let's keep our heads up, get up to move on and become stronger in the future! Glory to Ukraine!"
In Group F, Euro debutant Georgia reached the last 16 with a stunning 2-0 historic victory over Portugal.
On Saturday, 29 June, the matches of the 1/8 finals of EURO 2024 will start with Switzerland - Italy and Germany - Denmark. Eight matches will take place over four nights, ending with Austria vs Turkey on Tuesday, 2 July.
The 2024 European Championship takes place in Germany from 14 June to 14 July. It involves 24 teams.

With equal points, additional indicators determined the final position of the teams in Group E. Romania and Belgium qualified for the play-offs from the top 2, Slovakia - according to the third place ranking.
