European Leaders to Hold Talks with Trump, Zelenskyy on Wednesday

Negotiations between European leaders, including the German Chancellor and the President of the European Commission, and the Presidents of Ukraine and the United States ahead of Donald Trump's anticipated meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place on Wednesday, 13 August.
The Gaze writes about it, referring to dpa and European Pravda.
It is reported that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will organize a corresponding online meeting, which will be attended by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Donald Trump, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and leaders of European states.
They plan to discuss the situation surrounding the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, against the backdrop of the expected meeting between Trump and Putin, admitted the de facto recognition of Russia's control over parts of Ukraine in the future agreement, but does not believe that the Kremlin leader will ultimately ‘receive a reward’ for starting the war.
US Vice President Jay Dee Vance suggested that neither Ukraine nor Russia would be satisfied with the settlement of the war that could be reached through US mediation.
London stressed that the terms of peace cannot be imposed on Ukraine against its will.
