International IT Coalition Delivers First Batch of Equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine

An IT coalition led by Estonia and Luxembourg has provided Ukraine with laptops, monitors and other communications equipment worth 900,000 euros. This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
The equipment will be delivered to the units in the near future. ‘This is the first order of equipment received by the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of the IT coalition,’ the Ministry of Defence said. The efficient and quick procurement was made possible by the NATO Support and Procurement Agency.
According to Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Transformation, Digital Development and Digitalisation, the equipment will improve communication and the ability to plan tasks at the tactical level.
‘This is one of our priorities - to meet the needs of the units related to communication at the front,’ she said, and thanked the partners for their responsibility and speed in making decisions.
The IT Coalition is an ad hoc group of states within the Ukraine Defence Contact Group (Ramstein format) led by Estonia and Luxembourg, focused on providing support to the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of IT, communications and cybersecurity. The IT Coalition has already raised more than €36 million in financial and in-kind contributions.
