Joint Ukrainian-Danish Effort to Develop Smart UAV Defenses

The Ukrainian company Odd Systems has announced a strategic partnership with the Danish defense concern Terma Group to work together on a low-cost drone interceptor based on artificial intelligence, the Gaze reports, citing Mezha.
Odd Systems is a defense technology company headquartered in Kyiv, Ukraine, specializing in the development and production of thermal imaging cameras and FPV drones.
Meanwhile, Terma A/S is the largest Danish manufacturer of defense and aerospace products for both civilian and military use, offering radar systems, avionics, and space electronics.
“Terma and Odd Systems will combine their existing solutions while developing a suite of products to counter these and other airborne threats,” Odd Systems stated.
It is reported that the key challenge for interceptor drones is a combination of detecting, tracking, and intercepting an enemy UAV with another autonomous means.
Another challenge is the diversity of Russian drones. These can be FPV and tactical copters such as Mavic, as well as operational fixed-wing drones such as Zala and long-range strike drones such as Shahed.
As The Gaze previously reported, the Romanian Ministry of Defense began negotiations with Ukraine on the joint production of drones, which can be transferred to other European countries.
