Mathernova Names Two Key Challenges Facing Europe

The European Union's Ambassador to Ukraine, Katarina Mathernova, has named two main challenges that Europe is currently facing in the international arena.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to Mathernova's interview with FREEDOM TV channel.
‘I think security and the new European security architecture is one of the key challenges. And that's why it's very important for both the European Union and Ukraine that we see Ukraine as part of the solution to the security challenge and we are in it together,’ the diplomat said.
According to her, another challenge for the EU has recently emerged - the trade war with the United States.
‘Then what emerged more recently is, of course, the situation of very tense international trade. With trade war looming now, it's put on a pause. And again, this is something where we are in it as a continent together,’ added Mathernova.
As The Gaze reported earlier, US President Donald Trump has announced that he is suspending his unprecedented tariffs on most countries for 90 days and at the same time raising duties on China.
