Olympic Champion Mahuchikh Wins Gold at Diamond League Stage

Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Mahuchikh won a gold medal at the first stage of the prestigious Diamond League athletics competition series in Xiamen, China.

Olympic champion Mahuchih, the world record holder, achieved a height of 1.97 metres.
Silver and bronze went to Australians Eleanor Patterson (1.94 metres) and Nicola Olislagers (1.94 metres), respectively.
Another Ukrainian, Yulia Levchenko (1.91 metres), took fourth place.
The next stage of the Diamond League will take place on 3 May in Shanghai, China.
As The Gaze reported earlier, according to World Athletics, Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh has been named the world's best athlete in non-running disciplines in 2024.
In the 2024 season, the Ukrainian athlete won numerous awards and set a new world record.Mahuchikh won her debut gold at the Olympics and the European Championships.
She went on to win her third consecutive Diamond League final and set a new world record in the high jump with a leap of 2.10m.
