China Supplying Russia with Artillery and Gunpowder, Assisting in Weapons Production, Says Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, citing information from intelligence, said that China is supplying Russia with artillery and gunpowder, and that the Chinese are also producing some weapons in Russia.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.
‘We have finally received information that China is supplying weapons to the Russian Federation. Today, we have general information from the Security Service, from intelligence about gunpowder, artillery. And I think we will be able to talk about this in great detail next week... We believe that Chinese representatives are engaged in the production of some weapons in Russia,’ Zelenskyy told reporters at a briefing on Thursday.
The President recalled that during his conversation with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, he gave his word that he would not sell or send weapons to Russia.
‘But, unfortunately, we see different information now. We already have facts about this work of China and Russia to strengthen their defence capabilities, and these are bad facts,’ Zelenskyy said.
He added that Ukraine sees the fact of cooperation in this direction between the two countries, and the relevant documents will be handed over next week.
As The Gaze reported earlier, on 8 April, Zelenskyy said that the Ukrainian military in Donetsk region had captured two Chinese citizens who had fought in the Russian army. Zelenskyy instructed the foreign minister to immediately contact Beijing to find out how China was going to respond.
On 11 April, Zelenskyy said that ‘at least several hundred Chinese citizens are fighting as part of the Russian occupation forces’.
