In his customary address, Ukrainian President Zelensky provided details of his trip to the Rivne region and the off-site meeting at the Rivne Nuclear Power Plant. The Gaze presents the key points from his speech:

Nuclear safety is the top priority for the Ukrainian government.

We discussed crucial security matters in the northern regions of our country and our measures to enhance security. We thoroughly examined sensitive issues, such as cybersecurity.

Ukraine has imposed another set of sanctions on nearly 300 legal entities and around 200 individuals assisting Russia in conducting a terrorist war. Anyone who aids the aggressor will face a response from Ukraine and the international community.

The Prime Minister of Spain, Sanchez, visited Ukraine, highlighting the priorities of the Spanish presidency in the European Union. This visit underscores our cooperation—European affairs are no longer discussed without Ukraine.

We signed a joint statement with the Prime Minister of Spain in support of Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic perspective.

This marks the 21st such statement, indicating majority support for our aspirations, particularly regarding NATO membership. Belgium, Denmark, our friends from Estonia, Italy, Iceland, Spain, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, France, the Czech Republic, Montenegro, and Sweden have all expressed their support.

The decision of the National Commission on Energy and Utilities to raise water tariffs is disgraceful, unprofessional, and uncoordinated. The Cabinet of Ministers has been tasked with providing a response to this decision.

As previously reported by The Gaze, the Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine (GUR), Kyrylo Budanov, announced that Russia has completed preparations for an attack on the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, which is under Russian military control.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, the pool that cools the nuclear reactors has been mined by the Russians, and without proper cooling, the reactors may fail within 10 hours to 14 days. Additionally, the Russians can increase the voltage in power lines, significantly accelerating a nuclear accident.

GUR has identified two potential scenarios for the Kremlin's sabotage of the nuclear power plant. The first scenario entails Putin ordering a terrorist attack if Russian forces are pushed back from the left bank to prevent the advancement of the Ukrainian army.

The second scenario involves a preemptive nuclear strike to halt Ukraine's offensive and freeze the front line in its current state.
