Russia Is Among Those Who Support Hamas - Zelensky

Russia is complicit in Hamas attacks on Israel and has been supporting militants for years, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
He made this statement during a press conference in Bucharest, following a meeting with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis.
Zelenskyy asserted that Russia is one of the countries that have been aiding militants, leading to armed attacks.
"Who supports Hamas? The answer is simple: those who provide support. Public support, military support for quite some time. This has been ongoing for a considerable period. I think an answer can be found here, which you can also see on social media, where signals are being sent. We believe that Russia is one among those who have supported and are behind such corresponding actions," emphasized Volodymyr Zelensky.
President Zelensky had previously stated that Ukraine, along with its partners, will work towards global unity in the fight against terrorism.
"It is crucial for the entire world - the whole world - not to remain indifferent to what is happening now and to respond in a principled manner. The audacity of the terrorist attack has shocked many. Audacity and meticulous planning. If terrorists can afford this, it means that it poses a threat not only to one country. Next week, we will be working together with our partners for global unity in countering terrorism," said the head of state.
He added that various international events have already been planned, and Ukraine's position will, as always, be in favour of unity and joint action.
Zelensky emphasized that terrorism has opened too many fronts against humanity.
"The war against Ukraine. The war in the Middle East. Horrifying destabilization in Africa. Consistent attempts to provoke a crisis in the world's food market. Being strong under these conditions means standing up against terrorism. It's not enough to be a large or wealthy country. It's not enough to have ambition. Being strong means helping to protect people and lives from any manifestations of terrorism," stated the President.
Recall that on October 7, 2023, militants launched a massive rocket attack on Israel from the Gaza Strip, firing over 2,000 rockets.
On October 8, 2023, Israel officially entered a state of war. Israel has deployed artillery and tanks to the border with the Gaza Strip and has conducted airstrikes on buildings associated with Hamas.
