Trump Hopes to Organise Ukraine-Russia Meeting This Weekend

US President Donald Trump said he hopes to organise talks between Russia, Ukraine and the US as soon as possible.
The Gaze reports on this, referring to Trump's statement at the public opening of a meeting between the Ukrainian president and European leaders at the White House, which was broadcast by Fox News.
‘We will try to arrange a trilateral meeting, possibly as early as this weekend,’ the American president said.
‘I have a feeling that you (to Zelenskyy – Ed.) and President Putin will be able to agree on something. Of course, this is a decision that only President Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine can make, in coordination with President Putin. And I think something very good can come of this,’ he added.
Trump also said that one of the key points of discussion will be security guarantees for Ukraine.
‘We will discuss who will do what. I am optimistic that together we can reach an agreement that will deter new aggression against Ukraine... I think European countries will take on a lot of work, and we will help them,’ said the US president.
He continued that a ‘possible exchange of territories’ between Ukraine and Russia should be discussed, taking into account the current front line.
