Tusk: Ukraine Protected from Russian Aggression Is Key to Poland’s Security

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that a sovereign and pro-Western Ukraine would make Poland stronger and safer. He wrote about this on the social network X.
‘A sovereign, pro-Western Ukraine, capable of defending itself against Russian aggression, means a stronger and safer Poland. In the face of growing political confusion and chaos, this is what matters most,’ Tusk wrote.
According to him, questioning Ukraine's sovereignty means contributing to the triumph of the Kremlin's master. ‘Anyone who questions this self-evident truth contributes to Putin's triumph. Do you understand?’ - he added.
As The Gaze previously reported, US President Donald Trump has ordered the suspension of all military assistance to Ukraine until he sees that Ukraine's leadership ‘demonstrates goodwill for peace’. His decision also applies to weapons that had already left the US and were heading for the Ukrainian border.
At the same time, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen presented a plan to rearm the EU and support Ukraine, which will mobilise €800 billion for defence spending.
