Ukraine and Lithuania Strengthen Partnership on Critical Infrastructure Protection

The State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection (SSSCIP) of Ukraine is expanding its cooperation with the Lithuanian government in the field of critical infrastructure protection.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to the state agency on Telegram.
The Head of the SSSCIP, Oleksandr Potii, and the chief advisor to the Government Office of the Republic of Lithuania, Vidmantas Kaladinskas, signed a memorandum of understanding that defines the key areas for further cooperation.
In particular, the document provides for the exchange of experience between specialists from both countries on planning measures to protect critical infrastructure.
The parties also agreed to organize joint seminars and training sessions dedicated to improving the security of critical infrastructure facilities and implementing best practices in this area.
In addition, Lithuania will provide support to Ukraine in developing its regulatory framework, in particular in harmonizing Ukrainian legislation with the requirements of Directive 2022/2557 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the resilience of critical facilities.
“The parties emphasized the importance of such cooperation, especially in the context of war, and assured their support within the framework of the signed document,” the statement reads.
The Gaze reported earlier that, during her visit to Kyiv, Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Rugienė expressed her unwavering support for Ukraine — from launching a humanitarian initiative to help children abducted by Russia to maintaining sanctions against Russia and Belarus until Ukraine's territorial integrity is restored.
