Ukraine Changes Head of its NATO Mission

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Nataliya Galibarenko from her position as head of Ukraine's mission to NATO and appointed Alyona Getmanchuk to the post.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to Zelensky's relevant decrees.
On Friday, June 13, Zelenskyy dismissed Galibarenko from her position as head of Ukraine's mission to NATO. On the same day, he appointed Getmanchuk to this position.
Galibarenko was appointed head of Ukraine's mission to NATO in August 2020.
Getmanchuk is an Americanist, director of the New Europe Center, associate senior analyst at the Atlantic Council of the United States, and a regular contributor to European Truth.
Getmanchuk has devoted most of her professional life to the issue of Ukraine's accession to the Alliance.
As The Gaze reported earlier, in a groundbreaking step toward deeper Euro-Atlantic integration, experts from Ukraine's Ministry of Defense are for the first time directly contributing to the development of NATO's Science and Technology Strategy — the Alliance's key guiding document for innovation and defense research over the next six years.
