Ukrainian Innovation Days Kick Off in Washington, DC

The Ukrainian Innovation Days officially opened in Washington, DC, showcasing Ukraine’s technological resilience and vision for post-war recovery, The Gaze reports citing UkrInform. The event is being held with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States and the Ukrainian House.
“Together with our partners - European, American, partners from all over the world, we are making efforts to implement many innovative solutions,” said Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal at the event’s opening.
He emphasized that Ukraine’s military successes against Russian aggression have been possible due to strong international support and advances in domestic defense manufacturing. “Today we produce 40% of the weapons used by our Armed Forces. These are mostly innovative products, such as drones and special technologies,” he noted.
Shmyhal also stressed the significance of Ukraine’s reconstruction efforts. “The restoration of Ukraine will be one of the largest projects of the century, which can only be compared to the Marshall Plan of the post-World War II era,” he stated.
He called the Ukrainian Innovation Days “a crucial forum that will focus on new developments, technology exchange, the use of artificial intelligence, digitalization processes, etc.”
Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, Oksana Markarova, echoed the importance of innovation in shaping Ukraine’s future. “But we are also thinking from the very beginning about what a peaceful life will look like after the war is over, and innovation is something we believe in,” she said.
According to Markarova, while peace remains the key priority, Ukrainians are also helping “to build the world of the future.” She thanked all investors already engaged in Ukraine’s recovery and innovation efforts.
