Ukrainian Wins Silver at European Judo Cup Stage

The next stage of the Paks Junior European Cup 2025, the European Open Judo Cup for juniors, is underway in Paks, Hungary.

On the first day of the competition, Ukrainian Ilaria Tsurkan won the silver medal in the 63 kg weight category.
On her way to the final, the 15-year-old from Odesa won four matches against opponents from Hungary, Germany, Canada and Russia, losing in the decisive match to Kerem Primo from Israel.
On the second day of the tournament, 13 July, Ukrainians Stanislav Sagir, Igor Tsurkan (both up to 81 kg), Bogdan Risukhin (up to 100 kg) and Yulia Kuzmenko (up to 57 kg) will take to the tatami.
It should be noted that 474 athletes from 38 countries are competing in Paks.
The next stage of the Junior European Judo Cup will take place on 26-27 July in Birmingham, Great Britain.
