Zelenskyy Backs Trump`s Nomination for Nobel Peace Prize under Condition

Ukraine is stepping up diplomatic efforts regarding Donald Trump, proposing to nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize in order to encourage him to exert pressure on Russia to reach a peace agreement.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to Reuters.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy voiced the idea of nominating Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize during a briefing ahead of the announcement of this year's winner.
Zelenskyy stressed that if Trump helps end the war and gives the Ukrainian people a chance for peace, he should be nominated on behalf of Ukraine.
"If Trump gives the world – above all, the Ukrainian people – the chance for such a ceasefire, then yes, he should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize," Zelenskyy said. "We will nominate him on behalf of Ukraine."
Ukrainian lawmakers also submitted a petition for Trump's nomination, emphasizing the strategic importance of supporting a key partner.
Other examples of Trump's peacemaking initiatives include his mediation in the truce between India and Pakistan, as well as his efforts to end the conflict in Gaza. In addition to Ukraine, other countries, including Taiwan, support Trump's possible nomination for the Nobel Prize if he succeeds in preventing conflicts.
The Ukrainian President is already actively working to enlist Trump's support, and according to him, some progress has been made.
A striking example of this is that Kyiv is expecting a delivery of American weapons, including Tomahawk missiles, to force Russia to the negotiating table.
As The Gaze informed earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump said he wants to understand how Ukraine intends to use U.S.-made Tomahawk missiles before deciding whether to authorize their transfer.
