22 Killed in Two Massive Russian Strikes on Ukrainian Cities
Russian invading forces have launched two powerful attacks on the city of Odesa in southern Ukraine and on the city of Hlukhiv in the east of the country. The attacks killed at least 22 people, including a child. This was reported by local authorities and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
On Monday afternoon, the Russian army fired an Iskander-M ballistic missile at Odesa, killing 10 civilians. The missile hit a residential area in a business district.
Among the dead were seven police officers, a medic and two local residents. Another 55 people were injured, including four children.
Late in the evening of 18 November, Russians attacked a dormitory in the town of Hlukhiv, Sumy region. The attack killed 12 people, including an 8-year-old boy. There may still be people under the rubble.
Another 11 people were injured, including 2 children.
On the morning of 17 November, Ukraine was subjected to another combined attack by Russia, which fired about 120 missiles and 90 drones at Ukrainian cities. Most of the missiles and kamikaze drones were aimed at energy infrastructure facilities. Due to the massive attack in Ukraine, emergency power cuts were introduced in a number of regions. There are reports of human casualties.
