On the morning of 17 November, Ukraine was hit by another combined attack from Russia, which launched around 120 missiles and 90 drones at Ukrainian cities. The majority of the missiles and kamikaze drones were aimed at energy infrastructure. Due to the massive attack, emergency power cuts were introduced in Ukraine in a number of regions. There have been reports of casualties. Air defence forces destroyed more than 140 air targets.
In total, the Russian aggressor used nearly 140 missiles of various types, more than 900 guided aerial bombs and more than 600 attack drones over the past week, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
‘Today, our F-16 pilots shot down about 10 air targets. The consequences of the combined attack on our infrastructure in Rivne, Lviv, Dnipro, Volyn and Odesa regions are being eliminated. Russian terrorists are once again trying to intimidate us with cold and lack of light. They are repeating their actions and trying to get results from them,’ the President of Ukraine added.
‘The whole world sees and knows that we are defending ourselves against absolute evil, which does not understand any language but force. We need unity, the world needs unity. Only together can we stop this evil,’ Zelenskyy stressed.
