Czech Army Detects Foreign Drones Flying Over Military Sites and Critical Infrastructure

Foreign drones have been spotted by the Czech Army flying over Czech infrastructure, including military facilities.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to iDNES.cz.
The Czech Army has informed about recorded cases of foreign drones flying over critical infrastructure, including military bases.
As noted by General Staff spokeswoman Zdenka Soborná Košvancová, the army is ready to detect, identify, and neutralize such drones using electromagnetic jamming or kinetic means if necessary.
It is still unclear who is responsible for the drone flights over European airports and other infrastructure, but some countries have expressed suspicions that Russia may be behind these intrusions into European airspace.
For example, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that Russia may be behind the recent wave of drone appearances over German territory, particularly over Munich Airport. According to him, the drone flights are of a reconnaissance nature and are aimed at critical infrastructure, although none of them were armed.
Similar incidents involving unidentified drones have been reported in a number of European countries in recent weeks, including Germany, Denmark, Norway, and Belgium.
The Czech Republic, like its NATO allies, is actively sharing information about these threats, although the details remain classified.
Meanwhile, Belgian defense company Thales Belgium also warned of a dangerous increase in drone activity over its factories, as drones are already interfering with the production of 70-mm rockets, most of which are destined for Ukraine.
As The Gaze informed earlier, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen warned that Russia is waging a “hybrid war” against Europe, pointing to a surge in drone incursions and other covert operations targeting EU member states.
