Czech Leader Babiš Calls Zelenskyy, Voices Support and Hope for the End of War

ANO leader Andrej Babiš held a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, expressing his support for Ukraine and his desire for the war to end as soon as possible.
The Gaze reports this, referring to Ukrinform.
During the conversation, Babiš confirmed his solidarity with Ukraine and stressed the importance of ending the war as soon as possible. He announced a possible visit to Ukraine next year to discuss the situation directly on the ground.
The ANO leader noted that he had previously met with Zelenskyy three times, most recently in November 2019 in Kyiv. Babiš stressed that he was pleased to maintain contact and receive up-to-date information on the current situation in Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in turn, noted the strategic partnership with the Czech Republic and thanked him for supporting Ukraine and Ukrainians during difficult times.
“Today I spoke with the leader of the party that won the parliamentary elections in the Czech Republic, Andrej Babiš, congratulated him on his victory and wished him success,” he wrote on Telegram after the phone call.
The President noted that Babiš praised the courage of the Ukrainian people in their fight against Russian aggression.
Zelenskyy also informed his interlocutor about Ukraine's diplomatic work with the US, Europe, and other countries to achieve a just peace and discussed the overall situation in the diplomatic sphere.
As a result of the telephone conversation, it was agreed to hold a personal meeting in the near future to discuss further cooperation.
The Gaze reported earlier that populist Babiš won the Czech parliamentary elections, during which he criticized state budget spending on support for Ukraine.
