Estonia Hands Over New Military Assistance Package to Ukraine
Estonian Defence Minister Hanno Pevkur has ordered a new military aid package for Ukraine, including clothing for the military and weapons.
Pevkur himself wrote about this on social media, as well as this was reported on the website of the President of Ukraine.
On 11 November, the Defence Minister met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv.
‘I met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and confirmed our continued military support for Ukraine. On the way to his office, I also signed electronically a new military aid package, including clothing, small arms, etc. The new packages will be delivered next year (0.25% of Estonian GDP),’ Pevkur said on X Network.
Zelenskyy thanked Estonia ‘for its significant support since the beginning of the full-scale war’.
Among the main issues discussed during the meeting were Ukraine's urgent defence needs and the necessary assistance to man new brigades.
Particular attention was paid to the possibilities of the Estonian side to finance the production of long-range drones in Ukraine, as well as the importance of Estonia and all Baltic countries' voice in support of Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO.
Zelenskyy and Pevkur also discussed the implementation of the Plan for Ukraine's Victory over Russia, developed by the Ukrainian Presidential Office.
