EU Considering Deployment of Military Advisers to Ukraine

The European Union is discussing the possibility of sending ‘military advisers’ to Ukraine to organise training for the Ukrainian military, European Commission spokeswoman Anitta Hipper said.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to European Pravda.
During a briefing on 16 April in Brussels, Hipper confirmed that the issue of sending military personnel from EU states was discussed on 14 April at a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg.
‘Indeed, this issue is being discussed, but the main thing here is to support Ukraine and strengthen it as much as possible. We are also discussing adaptation to the mission, but I cannot share any additional information at this time,’ the European Commission spokesperson said.
She refused to answer the question whether the deployment of the EU training mission to Ukraine is planned after the ceasefire in the war between Russia and Ukraine is established or whether it is possible during the ongoing hostilities.
As The Gaze reported earlier, the UK is considering deploying troops to Ukraine, the main purpose of which would be to immediately assist in training and rebuilding the Ukrainian armed forces to deter another Russian attack.
A ‘coalition of the willing’ led by France and Britain has also stated that it is working on a plan to send a mission to Ukraine to guarantee a future ‘ceasefire’.
