European Parliament Defence Committee Urges EU Nations to Increase Arms Supplies to Ukraine, Including Taurus Missiles
The Chair of the European Parliament's Defence Committee, Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, is calling on the German federal government and other EU countries to take further steps to increase the effectiveness of the US F-16 fighter jets that have just been delivered to Ukraine.
"It is an important signal and effective support that the F-16s have finally been delivered," the politician told the Rheinische Post.
Europe should not give up.
"All states, not just Germany, must do everything in their power to protect Ukraine and enable it to continue to defend itself," warns Straсk-Zimmermann.
"This also includes air defence units and, whether the Chancellery wants to hear it or not, the Taurus cruise missile," said the Chair of the European Parliament's Defence Committee.
As a reminder, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently presented F-16 fighter jets in the Ukrainian sky during the celebration of the Day of the Ukrainian Air Force, emphasising the beginning of a new stage in the development of the Air Force. During the ceremony, F-16, MiG-29 and Su-27 fighter jets took off in the sky to greet the soldiers.
