Ex-Culture Minister Becomes Ukraine's Ambassador to Council of Europe

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree appointing former Culture Minister Mykola Tochitsky as Ukraine's permanent representative to the Council of Europe.
The Gaze reports on this, referring to the relevant document published on the head of state's website.
In another decree, Zelenskyy dismissed Boris Tarasyuk from the post of Ukraine's representative to the Council of Europe.
Tochytskyi already held this position in 2010–2016. After that, he worked in senior diplomatic positions, in particular, from 2016 to 2021, he was Ukraine's ambassador to Belgium and, concurrently, Ukraine's representative to the EU.
From September 2021 to April 2024, Tochitsky was Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and from April to September 2024, he was Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
For just under a year, Tochitsky served as Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine in the government of Denys Shmyhal.
