Grammy Awards 2025 Nominations Announced: Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Charli XCX and Taylor Swift in Top
The Grammy Awards announced the nominees for the 67th annual music awards on Friday (8 November), with Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar and Post Malone leading the way.
This year, the focus is on women, especially in the Latin categories. Anitta, Kali Uchis, Kanye Garcia and Shakira are in a fierce battle for the award for Best Latin Pop Album.
Beyoncé received a whopping 11 awards for her latest album Cowboy Carter, breaking her own 2009 record of 10 nominations. This year, she was up for awards in the Album of the Year and Song of the Year categories, mainly for Cowboy Carter and its lead single, Texas Hold ‘Em. Her ‘II most wanted’ with Miley Cyrus, ‘Ya ya’ and ‘16 Carriages’ are competing in other categories.
Beyoncé is followed by Grammy favourites Billie Eilish, Post Malone and Kendrick Lamar, as well as Charlie XCX, who gets her first big result with Brat. These four artists received seven nominations each.
The six modest nominations indicate a relatively quiet year for Taylor Swift, but a good one for Sabrina Carpenter and Chappelle Roan, who also received six nominations in their first Grammy years.
The live broadcast of the Grammy Awards 2025 is scheduled for 2 February.
